Cemetery

I laid my head against the cold stone
Hands over face, tears rolling down my cheek
Grieving over my lost throne
Weak amongst the weak

Flying to my side, the crow
Undying bearer of my sorrow
I let it carry the crystal pieces,
Remnants of my broken dreams
Let the thorns of the withered roses
Pierce my torn soul’s desperate screams

The moon to cast its shadow on my peaceful face
While I remember how you walked on my core
For me to praise memories of your grace
When there is nothing worth fighting for;
You have left me standing alone
Away from your warm, comforting light
Lost once again in my eternal night
Heart drenched into hatred of my own

You have opened the gates to this new world
Pushed me into venturing where lies misery
Guided my steps as my faith slowly scattered
And left me, broken, lone and lone to be;
Here, where no heart stands complete,
I now grasp how naive I have been
And yet cannot blame you your sin
For I have but earned my seat

I know the ways of my soul
Know there is to be another scar
Let me forget and once more be fooled
Turn my eyes and see the stars
Looking for a title.

Wrote this while i was supposed to be working. bleh.
